Yeah, it's remarkable that only eight years ago the US was a respected
and economically strong superpower. I do not understand why anyone
would want to vote for republicans this time around??

LOL like any of that has changed....

Well, the respect is gone after the questionable wars (+ the
concentration camps & torture). The US is clearly much less powerful
than 8 years ago, also because other countries are reaching superpower
status.
