"Drill, drill, drill", shouts Pudlow daily on his financial show.
If I here any more of these greedy, short-sighted, bastards
repeating that idiotic mantra I might have to vote Democrat.

I actually hope they do drill to prove that the Republicans are wrong
about the amount of oil to be discovered if we just drill, drill, drill.

It's end game for the GOP.

Yep. It is. But if they can manage to give that big oil lollipop to
their benefactor co-fascists, they will be back with more power and money
than any honest people will every be able to combat.

It wouldn't surprise me if Kudlow is collecting something under the
table from a number of drillers. Kudlow's entire history is that he
only takes a stand on something if he personally could benefit. He
even converted from Judaism to Catholicism, at Bill Buckley's
insistence, so he could get a job with the National Review.

Originally, Kudlow was a shill for the Democrats but collecting from
labor unions did not get him much money, so he converted once more,
this time to the GOP. He soon realized there is a lot more money to
be gotten by peddling influence in behalf of the oil companies to
GOP. I think if Kudlow were alive 70 years ago he put his mother into
a concentration camp if there was some money in it for himself.

Prior to becoming a professional shill Kudlow was a speed addict and
was subsequently fired from every job he ever held until he got to
CNBC. My guess is that Jeff Zucker keeps him on the payroll because
he is ordered to do so by GE management.

I find all mindless chantings irritating.

Larry is a former <?> coke head now turned anti medical marijuana
singing the republican refrain that a cancer sufferer smoking a joint
sends a 'mixed message' to our perfect little babies.

Kidow, Limbaugh, et al, weaseled their ways out of federal drug
and fraud charges because of republican ass licking. Revisionist
history being that it never happened so there was no crime.
Why was limbaugh not subject to the federal RICO seizure laws
back when he was handling thousands of HillBilly Heroin pills?

Meanwhile, in california, grandmothers are doing hard time for
supplying weed to dying cancer patients.

Not only THAT but Limbaugh violated his probation when he was caught with
the illegal viagra at the airport and nothing happened out of that as well.

Yeah, just likely that companies will bet billions of dollars on guess
that oil is there. Use your own brain instead of 15 second

Drill in Bush's ear.

Nope; you only drill in those locations where you are
likely to find something of value.

No doubt that there needs to be more domestic drilling for
oil.  Along with that is development of non-petroleum forms
of energy.  It isn't one or the other.

Won't do a bit of good unless they build more refineries. How about
one in your backyard?

The Newfoundland government approved construction of a refinery that will
specialize in heavy crude. But since the banks do not have money to lend and
refiners are suffering just as badly as us consumers (that's called a crack
spread), the refinery will not be built in the foreseeable future.

[JG] Fine with me, but there's no water access.

Looking at the big picture, through, I find it interesting that some people
complain about all the high paying blue collar jobs going overseas, and then
when somebody suggests building a place that provides high paying blue
collar jobs, the same people get all NIMBY.

The Texas Gulf Coast has no issue with more refineries. The Texas Gulf Coast
also has some of the lowest unemployment rates in the nation and their real
estate prices haven't dropped a dime over the last few years.

There's a lesson there.

Losing our ability to be self sufficient or even an adequate trading
partner is a separate issue. The few jobs created by a refinery or
two is hardly a strong argument to build them.

You could liken our addiction to oil to a heroin addict. We hate what
we have to endure to get our fix and know if we want to survive we are
going to have to get off the smack, but we'd rather rationalize that
if we could just find a better supplier everything would be ok.

Must be an issue somewhere or they'd be getting built.

Yeah, oil's gotten expensive and Texans have oil and are cashing in.
