My daughter works for a hospital that has their 403b plan ran by ING. She
has asked for my assistance in selecting the plans to invest in. In
looking over the plan and options, I am appalled by the excessive charges.
I am a old Vanguard investor (I like indexes) and didn't realize that
these investment plans were so expensive! But since the hospital does a
50% match on the first 4% that she contributes, its really a no brainer to
do that minimum. I will set her up with a Vanguard IRA (?Roth?) for the
other 6%. That will be a lifecycle 2045 plan.

Since I realize that there's folks on this list that know a lot more about
investing that I do, I am asking for your help in picking 2,3,4 funds that
would give her a broad based asset allocation. I'm thinking about maybe a
bond, domestic equity and a international fund. ING has their lifecycle
funds (they call them asset allocation) but they are overly expensive and
contain upwards of 15-20 funds/stocks.

Anyways, if anyone sees a fund on this list below that they personally
think is exceptional, please respond. If anyone wants to make a
recommendation on the full asset allocation, I would be most appreciative.
